Our Story at KILARA Racing

KILARA Racing is a new team dedicated to fostering a passion for yacht racing that transcends the competition but makes sure that we always have fun.

We first fell for the WALLYROCKET 51 during sea-trials off Ancona in December 2024. Despite a short sea and winter conditions the boat in the hands of members of the team was exhilarating and impressive. The owner  boldly took the decision to go for it, excited by the ambition of WALLY YACHTS to create a One Design Class where all the boats would be equal and the craziness of endless modifications would be eliminated.

It was a tough and tight schedule to have the boat built and ready to race in time for Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez  - the projected first regatta for the new team.

We made it. With only five days training to set up and introduce the new team members, we were on the starting line.

Now we hope to refine and hone our abilities for the full 2026 season, never forgetting - its gotta be fun!
